
PWS Cadets Bring National Glory at All India Nau Sainik Camp 2026
July 20, 202639 Students Represent PWS at Pathankot District Chess Championship; Vanshika Gupta Clinches Gold, Aarav Mahajan Wins Youngest Player Award
Partap World School (PWS), Pathankot once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing academic excellence and strategic thinking as 39 students proudly represented the school at the District Chess Championship, organized by the Pathankot District Chess Association. The young chess enthusiasts displayed exceptional analytical skills, concentration, and sportsmanship while competing against some of the district’s finest players.
The championship proved to be a memorable event for PWS, with students securing top honours across multiple age categories. Vanshika Gupta emerged as the Champion in the Under-19 Girls category, securing the 1st Position with an impressive performance. In the Under-13 Girls category, Manasvi earned the 2nd Position, showcasing remarkable composure and tactical brilliance throughout the tournament.
Adding to the school’s achievements, Tejeshwar secured the 4th Position in the Under-13 Boys category, while Anirudh finished in the 5th Position, reflecting the school’s growing strength in competitive chess.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the championship was when Aarav Mahajan received the prestigious Youngest Player Award, highlighting his enthusiasm and promising potential in the sport at such a young age.
